Andrea's introduction to Muskoka came back in 2004 when a friend asked her to work at the Fiery Grill in Dorset for the summer. The summer turned in to three years. After a brief leave, she returned to the restaurant, where Tyler had started working as a cook. They quickly hit it off, and together they ran the day to day operations at the Fiery Grill until its closure in 2011. It didn't take long for them to realize their dream of opening a restaurant of their own some day. In the spring of 2014, and opportunity presented itself for them to purchase a restaurant. They just needed to find THE place. After much searching, they decided that in order to make this place theirs, they weren't going to buy just any old restaurant. Tyler and Andrea found this building in Baysville and saw its potential. They knew it was the one. In the fall of 2014 it became theirs, and after many setbacks, their hard work has finally paid off, and their dream is now a reality.

 

 

An experienced bartender and restuarant manager, Andrea loves her customers and wants Cast Iron to be a friendly, welcoming place. Having been in Muskoka since 2004, she has gotten to know the area quite well, making many business connections along the way. Thanks to her previous role as general manager, she has become familiar with the ins and outs of running a restaurant. Both Tyler and Andrea's love of food and dining out is one of the many reasons they decided to open a restaurant of their own.
